Do you need a referral before making an appointment?
No, you don't need a referral to book a consultation with one of our Practitioners. Call 02 9675 5586 to schedule an appointment. Those with a Health Fund (depending on level of cover) should qualify for rebates, for which we have a HICAPS/EFTPOS machine handy on site for immediate access.
Do you see patients under Workers Compensation or Third Party (CTP)?
Yes. Those who will be attending under workers compensation or third party insurance will need a referral from their GP or an approval from the Insurer. We will require the relevant information such as Insurance Company, Claim number and Claims manager details so we can confirm approval to commence treatment.
Do you see patients under the Enhanced Primary Care Program (EPC)?
Yes we do. You must have an EPC referral from your GP to be eligible for the Medicare rebate under this scheme. Bulk billing is only available for selected times during the day with select practitioners and Medicare only covers a 20 minute appointment. For all other appointments, we have immediate claiming available for you to receive your rebate back from Medicare.
How many sessions will I need?
Every injury will be assessed by our qualified staff and an estimate of recovery given. Some injuries can be treated simply and clients given exercises to continue. Others can be more complex and require treatment for a longer period.
How long are the sessions?
Initial assessment sessions are 40 minutes where your physio will take a thorough history, assess all facets of your injury, commence treatment and give you a treatment plan, outlining how many sessions you need, how often and what you need to do at home for the injury. Follow up sessions are 30 minutes long. Sessions bulk billed under the Medicare EPC scheme are always 20 minutes only.
If you are requiring treatment on multiple areas or your condition is particularly complicated, extended sessions are available of 45 and 60 minutes as required.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
Yes we do. In an effort to be fair to all patients we have a cancellation policy that requires all cancellations to be completed by 5pm the day prior to your appointment. Late cancellations and non attendances incur a $50 fee. Click here to read the full policy.
